"Birds of America", Complete 7 Volumes After Audubon, Octavo Edition. After John James Audubon (American, 1785-1851).  A complete, 7 volume set of 500 colored lithographs, second edition, published by Victor Griffith Audubon, NY, 1856.  In leather binding and charming embossed cover boards, with marbled front and back pages and gilt lettering.  Originally Collected by Katharine Roelker (later married Lucien Wulsin of the Baldwin Piano Company family).

  • Condition:

    Very light wear to binding, edge toning to many pages, and foxing to several pages, albeit mostly confined to beginning and end pages.  Plates are covered with sleeves, and are mostly in fine condition, with only very light toning.
