Description:

A framed document detailing the appointment to additional paymaster of Mr. John Gerrick. Including the signatures of both President Lincoln and Secretary of War, Edwin Stanton. Dated July 25th, 1863. The office of the paymaster was created during the Continental Congress in 1755. With blue presidential seal. Recorded in volume 17, page 143 on February 26, 1864. 

Document is framed under glass.

    Condition:
  • Document includes creasing where it has been folded both horizontally and vertically. Minor wear, but otherwsie not much yellowing of the paper.
